Who is this class for?

This workshop is for clinicians who have received the Basic Training in EMDR through an EMDRIA-Approved course as well as for those who have not!

This course will develop clinical competence in obtaining a history by using Expressive Arts techniques through didactic presentation, demonstrations, and supervision practicum. Participants will build confidence by reviewing the EMDRIA Definition and Phase 1 and participating in guided practicum Expressive Arts experiences to foster proficiency and understanding of their use. This course will also develop clinical competence in stabilizing clients by using Expressive Arts techniques for resourcing through didactic presentation, demonstrations, and supervision practicum. Participants will build confidence by reviewing the EMDRIA Definition and Phase 2 and participating in guided practicum Expressive Arts experiences to foster proficiency and understanding for using these methods for emotional and physical regulation. Attention will be given to adherence to the protocol, resourcing, and grounding by using Expressive Art techniques. This training will teach you projects that can be utilized and adapted for clients of all ages.

Tessa reflects a life of diverse journeys and a deep commitment to healing and supporting others. Her adventurous spirit led her to explore diverse cultures and perspectives during her world travels. A background in art, combined with these extensive experiences and education, has shaped her into a compassionate and resilient mental health therapist. Throughout her career, she has been a tireless advocate for trauma survivors, First Responders, and those dealing with CPTSD. Her reputation as a compassionate, nonjudgmental, and dedicated mental health therapist is well-established. Tessa is actively involved in the field of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, holding the titles of EMDRIA consultant and EMDR Trainer. She is excited to be offering advanced EMDR courses. Tessa's commitment to using innovative therapeutic techniques, such as EMDR and Expressive Arts, underscores her passion for advancing the field and providing the best possible support to her clients. CE Approval: Tessa Groshoff, LMHC, EXT is an EMDRIA EC Provider #23028 and this program #23028-02 is approved for 12 EMDRIA Credits. Eligibility for EMDRIA Credits is restricted to those who have completed an EMDRIA-Approved Basic EMDR Training. EMDRIA Program Approval #23028-02. Insight Counseling Center, provider number 1697, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved as ACE Providers. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit.
